Christenings

Christenings, during which your child is baptised, usually take place at a Sunday lunchtime though they can take place during the main Sunday service or on another day of the week by arrangement.

Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange the date and please have several possible dates in mind. To avoid embarrassment please do not make catering or other arrangements before the date of your child's baptism is confirmed!

Sometimes, seeing someone else Christened, deciding to have your own child Christened or being asked to be a godparent, can make you reflect about your own journey of faith. If you were not Christened as a baby or infant, you may be deciding now as an older child, teenager or adult to make this commitment. Whatever led you to this point, a Christening marks the beginning of a journey with God that continues for the rest of our lives.

To arrange a Christening please telephone our parish administrator, Lauren Jones, on 01527 577759. Lauren works variable days and hours but messges left will always be answered.

Once the practical arrangements are confirmed, you will have a visit at home by a member of the church.
