Heritage Open Days 2026 

Heritage Open Days returns  this September, from the 11th to the 20th.   This year's theme is Everyday Histories.

All Saints Church, Bromsgrove is open on Saturday 12th from 10 am to 4pm.  The church has arts and crafts exhibits including work by the Bromsgrove Guild.  There is an exhibition about the model laundry and cycle works that once used Blackmore Mill on the Spadesbourne Brook.

St. John's Church, Bromsgrove is open on Saturday 12th from 10:30 am to 3 pm.  A gloriously light-hearted concert starts at 10:30am featuring 'A Musical Joke' by Mozart and Haydn's Symphony no. 60. Afterwards tea, coffee and cake will be served.  You will also have the opportunity to explore the church using our self-led history tour with an audio guide.

Christ Church, Catshill is open on Saturday 19th from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 20th 11 am to 4 pm. The church has connections with the poet A. E. Housman  and Christopher Morcom, a childhood friend of Alan Turning (the Enigma code breaker).  At 4pm on Sunday there will be a short (45 minute) concert featuring arrangements from 'The Singing Villeins' and Traditional Jazz from the Thompson-Cox Family Jazz Band.

St Michael & All Angels Church, Stoke Prior is open on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th from 10 am to 4 pm.  Visitors will see a great variety of interesting items relating to everyday working lives and local companies including the Brush Works, Garringtons, Deritend (Droitwich) and the Salt Works. Items on display will also include a 1927 large-scale Ordnance Survey map of the local area, ephemera relating to shops, and many everyday and unusual objects large and small to inspire memories of times past.
